My good friend David Thomas (www.daviddylanthomas.com) is launching a new website today: Straight2DVDMovies. Yes, it's possibly the single most hilarious URL I've ever seen.

The site's aim is to give a much-overlooked cinematic genre its due and thus to correct one of the greatest injustices of our time. Yes, all those cinematic masterpieces which are never released to actual, ah, cinemas, but which are released straight to the consumer on - you guessed it - DVD, seemed forever doomed to languish in the twilight, sitting forlorn on the shelves of Blockbuster stores, resting at the bottom of Amazon's rankings, and never sparking a word of discussion. Well, thanks to Straight2DVDMovies, we never have to worry about that again.

OK, all joking aside, it's a serious effort to create a new resource.  Check it out.
